Thank you, Laura and Dean, for capturing these sweet moments of our family. The photos were taken when Eleanor Bea was 10 days old. It's crazy how now, 3 weeks later, she has changed so much. I'm trying to soak it all in and enjoy all the tenderness of this time because I'm realizing how quickly it all goes.

Happy 4 months, Eleanor Bea! You have developed so much the past month and are the most fun to be around. You love your toes - pulling them, eating them, staring at them. All of it!  This month was big for sleep. You slept all the way through the night, and you transitioned to your crib. You love playing in your crib each morning, and you also get super hyped on the changing table before bed. You still don’t love to nap, so praise the Lord for Joni Mitchell. She is your lullaby. Mommy really should have found a happier lullaby.... This month you traveled to Nashville to see family, to Dallas for market, and to Champaign to setup Bella. You did wonderful on the flights besides a few diaper blowouts. Everyone commented how you are “the most beautiful baby.” You love to be on the move, so you’re a fan of traveling.  Love you more than you know!

You learned to sit up and crawl. You love chunks of food like watermelon and red pepper, and you light up around friends on the block like Gaia and Lila. Mom is tired from wrapping up KIPP and launching her tutoring business. She will write more in coming months, but for now she wants to play with your beautiful self!

Happy 2 months, Eleanor Bea! You had a very social month full of firsts.  Your social smile melts mommy and daddy's heart every time. You are most smiley in the morning after your 7:00am feed while we snuggle in bed, although you also like to smile during the 4:00am change. It's so hard not to engage at that time even though the experts tell me not to. You are an active, expressive baby. No more swaddle for you! Your hands provide comfort and even strangers remark on your neck strength. While you don't cry except when you are hungry or have a pee diaper, you do love to grunt. 6:15am is your prime poop time, as well as grunt time. Yollie and mommy's boss at Heinemann bought you lots of bibs. I didn't understand why until now. You love to blow spit bubbles and drool on mommy's back while you're up on her shoulder.   You love to host people, just like your parents. Your cousin Nash visited DC and showered you with love, even feeding you boob juic...
