Lots of walks, smoothies and love during EB's first trip to Vero! We cannot wait to bring her back when she is old enough to go in the pool and to eat ice cream.
Happy 2 months, Eleanor Bea! You had a very social month full of firsts. Your social smile melts mommy and daddy's heart every time. You are most smiley in the morning after your 7:00am feed while we snuggle in bed, although you also like to smile during the 4:00am change. It's so hard not to engage at that time even though the experts tell me not to. You are an active, expressive baby. No more swaddle for you! Your hands provide comfort and even strangers remark on your neck strength. While you don't cry except when you are hungry or have a pee diaper, you do love to grunt. 6:15am is your prime poop time, as well as grunt time. Yollie and mommy's boss at Heinemann bought you lots of bibs. I didn't understand why until now. You love to blow spit bubbles and drool on mommy's back while you're up on her shoulder. You love to host people, just like your parents. Your cousin Nash visited DC and showered you with love, even feeding you boob juic...
We thought that Eleanor Bea would come early throughout the entire pregnancy until the last couple weeks made us second guess our predictions. 75% effaced and 1.5 centimeters dilated was the update for three weeks in a row, so we were prepared for an induction on her due date, December 19. Little did we know, she would come two days early. Jordan was sick with a virus all weekend, so I went to church with Jenna and my mom, followed by Chaia for tacos. After lunch I sent a text to Kimmy joking that I was in labor, and she said, "Of course she is too comfortable because you keep feeding her tacos." I went about my day working on calligraphy and watercolor and watching "Dumplin" while Jordan setup camped out on the couch. At 8:50pm my phone died when Yolanda texted me, so I went upstairs to plug it in. Then, I hopped in the shower as I did every other night during my third trimester bedtime routine. Jordan was already asleep because he took Tylenol Cold and Si...
3 months have flown by with our sweet Eleanor Bea "EB"! You giggled for the first time in St. Michaels, and now you love to giggle every night before bed on the changing table. You also have long conversations on the changing table, repeating the sounds that mommy makes, and singing with dad. We think your blue eyes might be here to stay! You prefer your hands to your pacifier, and we often call you "slobber pot" because you are constantly blowing spit bubbles. You have figured out how to pick up objects, especially the bee and dinosaur toys. You're working on rolling over from your tummy to your back, which you successfully did on the Boppy with Aunt Jenna. You don't love naps, but praise Jesus you sleep well at night. We put you to sleep around 7:00pm, and you sleep until 3:30am or 4:00am. If I put you on my chest after the 6:30am feeding you will sleep until 8:30am. I love your snuggles, so we do this often! You are ...
